Your Grievances

In order to redress the difficulties faced by the assesses in relation to:-
                     (i)  procedural/policy matters of the Central Excise law; and,
(ii) to bring about qualitative changes in the working of the Department.
Two committees have been formed:-
    1. The Regional Advisory Committee (RAC)
    2. The Public Grievances Redressal Committee. (PGRC)
The Commissioner of the Central Excise Department is the Head of these committees, distinguished members of the Industry & Trade are nominated as the members of these committees and they discuss the problems with the higher officers of the Central Excise Department so as to solve any difficulties faced by the Trade.
The meetings of the RAC committee are held quarterly whereas the meeting of the PGRC committee is held every month.
Assesses who have any problems have to submit their problems through the members of these committees who in turn sponsor these points to the department for their redressal.
