ESTABLISHMENT ORDER No. 51 / 2009

DATED, SHILLONG THE 29^th June, 2009. 

Sub: Establishment  Promotion, Transfer and Posting of Havaldar to  the grade of Head Havaldar – Order/Regarding.

PART – I                                                       PROMOTION

            The following Havaldars of Customs and Central Excise are hereby promoted to the grade of Head Havaldar in the Pay Band of Rs. 5200 – 20200/- and Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/- with effect from the date they assume charge of higher post. 

They are hereby requested to exercise option within one month from the date of promotion as to whether their initial pay should be fixed in the higher post on the basis of FR. 22(I)(a)(1) straightaway without any further review on accrual of increment in the pay scale of the lower post or their pay on promotion should be fixed initially in the manner as provided under FR. 22(a)(1) which may be re-fixed under the provision of FR. 22(I)(a)(1) on the date of accrual of next increment in the scale of pay of lower post. Option once exercised shall be final. 

            In the event of refusal of promotion, they would be debarred from promotion for a period of one year.

 PART – II                                          TRANSFER AND POSTINGS

             On promotion, Shri S. Sil is retained to his present place of posting and Shri H. Sil is placed at the disposal of Commissioner, Customs (P) Commissionerate, Shillong.
